ECERTIC is a Trusted Third Party: The digital notary

Tercero de Confianza is a figure included in article 25 of the Law on Services of the Information Society (LSSI), as that entity that, outside the declarations of will of the parties, files them for a minimum of five years, consigning date and time of the same.

This figure is necessary in all processes of electronic signature and certified communication , according to Law 59/2003 of Electronic Signature.


Currently, there are a variety of examples and jurisprudence, validating contracts in which there has been a Trusted Third Party as a party, and invalidating those digital transactions in which this figure has not existed.

Registered in the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda as a Provider of Certification Services for the services of electronic signature, biometric signature and digital custody.

The advanced electronic signature allows the signer to be identified and any subsequent change of the signed data to be detected. It is linked to the signer uniquely and to the data referred to. It is an electronic signature that has been created by means that the signer can use, with a high level of trust, under his / her exclusive control.
